Cell phones
So, apparently, the phone model I have is no longer being carried by Cingular, despite the fact that I bought it last year.

Which means they no longer carry batteries for it either.

And I need a new battery! The 1-year warranty is up, and the battery has significantly degraded. I need to charge it every day, just about.

However! With the power of the internet at my disposal... I can get the battery I need at less than half the cost Cingular would have charged.

Lesson here? Buy phone accessories online, not from the dealer. And - I might be needing to get a new phone in the next year or so. Maybe I should do that online too?

Oh, yes, online rocks! Getting a phone from the dealer at first is good for the special deals, but accessories and phone buying when you don't qualify for a special deal are total rip-offs at the dealer. I heart the internet! Deals are to be had, but of course always be cautious. If you can find a kick-ass deal through a company you know (such as a store that has actual "brick-and-mortor" stores) do it, if you don't know the company, do a little research first, which is usally not that difficult, people LOVE complaining on the internet! lol! Anyway, I've rambled on, but I do love internet shopping.
